Digital Probe Thermometer? Wheeeere?!

Okay. So. I'm on a mission for a digital probe thermometer. And I can't find one -anywhere-. Does anyone know of a website that has them?

I checked Wal-Mart, Petsmart, and Petco. No one has them! D:

I know that Wal-Mart has them; that's where I've gotten mine. If I remember they're over in the hardware area. Check again.

I'll check Wal-Mart again tomorrow and hopefully have luck! Keeping the temperature regulated without the right thermometer is quite a lot of work!

when i got mine at Walmart it was almost in the garden section, I tihnk you can also get them off of www.bigappleherp.com
And thank you! I'll check the garden section, too. I'll just go over Wal-mart with a fine tooth comb tomorrow!

And if all else fails, I'll get one from that site. They look high-quality. Thanks so much!

Both of the Wal-Mart's here in my area carrying them in the hardware section in fact, they both had a sign in the aisle saying "therometer." Good luck.

Big Apple Herps or whatever they're called has a really cool not very expensive double-probed one. I'd like to have a couple of those.

Walmart should have them, ask for an "indoor/outdoor digital thermometer". It takes temps at the thermometer for the cool side (indoor) and at the probe for the warm side (outdoor) at or under the substrate. Get one with a double display and you can check both temps at a glance.

For a few bucks more, you can get one that shows indoor temps, outdoor temps, and humidity. This comes in handy around shedding time.

Oo, that certainly sounds nice. Maybe after Christmas I'll start getting allowance again.

I'm also considering working at the Pet Supermarket nearby when I don't have so much schoolwork! If I had a job, I could get so many nice things for Hestia! I also need to start saving up for a 20-gallon tank so I can upgrade her next year or so.

CA,

That's the one I have and I believe it was under $20... put it on your list for Santa :)

Got One!

I got my thermometer! Two temperatures and a humidity thing for $11.88 at Wal-Mart! Hardware section, you guys were right! Thanks so much for your help. :D Hestia seems pleased to have it!

:-offtopic On another, off-topic note, I got a job at Pet Supermarket! My first interview ever turned into my first job ever! I think I start next week so yay! Not only will I get money but I'll have a place to spend it! Whee!

Congrads about the new job! Now you can save up for a thermostat (or put it on the Christmas list), they are really cool things to have for your piece of mind.

It'll be great for the store to have a burgeoning herp expert on staff :D

Yes! I want a bloody thermostat SO BAD. I haven't been using my air conditioning since I figured out I didn't have the right thermometer! Because without AC my room stays at a perfect 80 degrees.

A thermostat would be wonderful because my heat lamp doesn't get very much heat to the bottom of the cage and the heating pad is just way too hot. I don't want to do the necessary adding-a-towel-or-ceramic-tiles thing until Hestia has become acquainted with her new home.

I'd rather make myself too hot than make her too cold, though. xD

Another option that really worked for me was just to put a couple of paperback books on each end... well, one end was more towards the middle since I had to have room for the UTH. I don't remember who suggested it on here, but it does help.
