Digital SLR camera's

Ok, who has one, what kind and would you recommend it?

I'm investigating the different digital SLR's and would like any input you may have. Thanks a bunch.

I dont have one :( I really want one. Im looking at getting the Canon Rebel XT or something of the likes. Most DSLRs are going to offer what you want out of it. Things to look for are wheter or not the lenses are attachable. Some come with a lens already attached and can not be removed. Check out betterphoto.com and compare the pictures people have taken with various DSLRs.

I have a Nikon D50 and I absolutely love it.

Just keep in mind that you might do a ton of research, and listen to what people say about what they have, and when you go to see it in the store.. you might not like it. Choose what feels right in your hands, see if it's comfortable. I personally think Nikons just.. fit better.

The D50 is actually being replaced by the D40. But like others have said, I love my D50. It's a great entry level DSLR and you really don't need to spend $1000 to get a good DSLR.

You actually don't have to spend money in any of these ranges and still get the great pics of a Digital SLR. I have two 35mm SLR and love the pictures they take. I have one Canon and on Nikon and love them both, but if you are going to go digital I have to agree with some of the other members on here and say that the Nikon D50 is probably the best entry level camera out there.

I have Canon 400D and I can say it is really useful. Althought with kit lens you can't do much, you can take some great shots or not so great shots. :)
I have to manage with kit lens now, but I'm planning to purchase one or two more.

I use the Canon Rebel XTI and I love it. I can work just fine with the kit lens or with the Sigma Telephoto with macro lens that I purchased separately. Both Canon and Nikon make some great DSLR cameras.

I just picked up a Canon Rebel XTi yesterday. I'm really enjoying it and getting some great shots too! :crazy02: Seems to be pretty user friendly. Can't wait to get a better lens and see what this thing can really do! :bang:
