Yesterday i picked up a Dilute Anery Motley from Marc Vervest.
I'm very pleased with her, although i was planning to pick up a couple.
Unfortunately the male isn't feeding regularly....... bummer!!!

The first two pictures are better representing the color then the last ones (IMO) .
It is not always easy to get a right colored picture of these guys (girls)

You're right Marc, these critters aren't easy to catch on a photo. I also have that problem with Snows, Blizzards and Ultramels...

IMO the best ones are taken outside. Something about sunlight really brings out that blue tint.... Nice pick up by the way

hahahahahehehe, i think im the only other person who noticed the mouse pattern (not until you said though!) nice corn by the way

I'm gonna be following this girl closely! Maybe we can close a breeding deal someday with my male! ;-) He is eating very well...... :grin01:

I've been viewing and reviewing your photo posts and I must say, I'm extremely jealous of all the wonderful snakes you've collected! Good thing you're across the ocean or you may have ended up witha broken lock and bunch of missing snakes.

Well, i'm going to pick up the male in Nijmegen or in Hamm in december so sorry, but i don't need your male...
What are your further plans for your Dilute Anery female??

I don't have a female..... I have a male. I plan to breed him to my okeetee het anery and my sunglow mot, the F2 of the last breeding should be interesting! At least IMO... I know my corn snake soup way of breeding is not your thing ;)

Well, i always try to breed to animals together who are both homozygous for at least one trait. For example my Amel Bloodred x Butter Motley breeding.
As for the Dilute Anery Motley, since it isn't really clear yet how the Dilute gene works, it doesn't really matter with what you're pairing him up.

I probably try to pair mine with either a Motley morph or an Anery morph to produce some nice hets.

I hope to help a bit in finding out how the dilute gene works. If I'm gonna see dilute amel mots, dilute snow mots and dilute normal mots distinguishable from non dilute siblings. The disadvantage of my way of breeding is that probably only normals will be in the F1, which is a bit boring.... but since many amels are het for anery, I hope for some anery mots het dilute amel to show up in F1. Would be easy to sell I think. If Murphy is with me, my dilute anery mot is het for amel and a snow het for dilute pops up in F1.... but that's not what I expect.

Your Dilute Anery Mot. isn't het. Amel otherwise Marc should have some Snows in the clutch. I'll probably pair mine up with one of my Ghost Striped Motley females...

If only one parent was het amel, there would not have been snows.... there can always an amel thingy float around...

Your ghost striped mots are awesome!

That possibility is very small, since Rob from Bayou Reptiles don't have Amel in the line and Marc's breeding couple comes from Rob.
