Diorbhail

Here is my '08-ish Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Diorbhail, yet again. What a great appetite she has! She's also very kind, very beautiful, and one of my VERY favorite snakes. If you like BRBs, I can't see any reason why you wouldn't like Diorbhail :):

Here is what happened when she got a grip on Z's favorite flashlight :):

AND, just for fun, look what I brought home today! Sorry for the poor photo quality--it was taken with my cell phone:

Brbaby2.jpg

A li'l 2010 baby BRB female that came from House of Reptiles in Tigard, OR, originally. Since she was one of 3 they had in recently, I know exactly what he paid for her--a lot more than I would have--or did, in this case! LOL! The guy knew I was looking for one before I got Diorbhail, and he contacted me to find out if I wanted his girl. Since I told him I didn't really see a need for another female, as I'd just purchased one, he practically gave her to me (not QUITE, but the price was impossible to pass up!) as he was desperate to rehome her so he could buy a ferret. She actually has nicer crescents than Diorbhail, but I don't have any clue how she'll color up. Since she's just the normal color phase, I'm guessing she should look like Dior as she gets older. This little girl doesn't have a name yet. I'll let you know when she does :).

Aw, she's a sweetheart! I'm really glad you have a BRB. It seems that you have found your perfect snake!

Will Dior or new girl be having any kids in the future?

If I can find a suitable boyfriend, I do believe they just might be :).

I have a LOT of studying to do, first. Looks like breeding boas is a LOT different than pythons and corns!

Beautiful, beautiful girl! Once I settle some place permanent, I'll definitely be getting one! :} Also congrats on the other new addition!

And I believe the name is pronounced "Der-vil" and is Scottish Gaelic, as opposed to Irish. The Irish equivalent is Dearbhail and is pronounced much the same way, "Dare-vil." But really, you can pronounce it any way you want as it's your baby. :}

Congrats again!

Name her: mine!! Just kidding. Can't believe you have two now!! :dancer:

Me either, but I'm glad I do!!

I can see a maximum of 3 more snakes in my world, now--a possible "husband" for these girls, and 2 others that I'll be purchasing very soon--a Super Corn and a Cali King. After that, there will be nothing else that I'm really looking for :).
