Discussion of forum political discussions thread Continued--keep it decent

Bill, I couldn't even start to second guess what any other person's reaction to any of this site would be. I get enough negative comments from work colleagues about my household arrangements to know that everyone has their own take on what is or isn't 'normal'.
I just believe that to jump in and critisise anyone for how they live their live is just rude. To recognise that someone lives a life alien to you and not immediately assume your own style is superior takes a little more time and effort. (I've even been known to express interest in colleagues' home improvement plans, family outings, holidays etc! I'm slowly working on getting the same consideration from them.)

The way I look at it is...I have enough "problems" in my own life that I don’t have the time or energy to worry about what other people are doing.

It’s not that I don’t care, I feel that I am a compassionate individual…it’s just that it’s none of my business.

Regards,
Steve

Bonus points for naming the movie:
"You choose your own level of involvement!"

And that is just fine. That opinion is just as valid as anyone else's...

I must be taking all this turmoil to bed with me. Two nights ago I was dreaming about Jenn (CornyNoob) and her snakes, now last night I dreamed I was floating down some huge, crystal clear emerald green river with rapids and waterfalls, just swimming, not in a boat, with Dave(123) and my daughter who had mysteriously gone back in age to about 12. We floated up on an island, and there were brightly-colored bearded dragons on the sand, under water. Then I woke up...

Actually it's pretty recurrent for me- the river dream.

I can relate; I frequently dream that I'm in 1980s era clothing, complete with long headband, with my legs flailing in rhythm, while keeping my arms at my side, completely still.

Yep, the River Dance dream. :sidestep:

regards,
jazz

I was in your dream!!! Yay! Are you sure your daughter wasn't 15? ;)

oh, ok. I'll take a moment to recap.:spinner:

Thanks.
39 pages there and 10 pages here...plus the 3 page discussion in the Administrative forum about Adult Content in Topics found there...you better take more than a moment. When you finish with those three, you can read through George's 3 page topic reply to his short vacation HERE.

You got a lot of reading to do if you truly want to "catch up"...

I read most of the original thread. Just didn't check back in the next day. So it got away from me. :spinner:

I would like to forget about that, thank you.

I have sorted things out with people through private message and my old threads don't need bringing up anymore.

Thank you.

Sorry to bring up bad memeories, George, but it is part of what has happened as of late, and seems important to the most recent discussions.

There is also the problem with having something posted on an internet forum...it never really goes away. It is always there for everyone to see...

The most important part of the equation is whether or not it has taught you anything. Personally...I think you are WAY too smart to not have learned a lesson from this issue. It's an important lesson for you, and for anyone else that might feel like pushing the same limits. I don't hold it againast you, and I'm sure no one else does, either. Goodness knows we all get "caught up in the moment" from time to time.
