Very creative! Is the only way to access the inside from the top? What did you seal everything up with? I like how you have built in levels (I'm doing something similiar for my Dragons.

wow, these are awesome. Do the corns utilize the different levels?

You should think about making a line of these

Thanks for your input.

The glass front slides out to allow access when I clean the viv, but at all other times I access it from the top to change the water and pick up poop and of course to get the little treasure out for some quality time with his daddy...

All the joints are sealed with a non toxic aquatic sealant and the viv in general is coated with 3 layers of water resistant varnish which took about 4 weeks to 'off gas' if anyone is thinking of using it.

I have 2 corns in 2 DIY vivs that are very similar to those pictured and I was amazed how much time they spend on the different levels, particularly the ones with the silk leaves on them.

You know, looking at these pics again...I like how the top one has the curvey section in the front. It's kind of breaking away from the norm, you know? If I wasn't such a stickler for everything looking exactly the same in my reptile room, I would experiment a bit with that!

That was my sons idea....I basically let him come up with the general design including the colours and then like all great kids he left me to it for the next few weeks week and only reappeared when it was complete and ready for his snake......

Looks great i really like it. I was curious about the light shown in one of the pics. It looks like the light is inside the viv is there any danger of burns from a snake getting to close. All in all i really like it and think you should consider going into building some custom cages you really look like you have the talent.

Thanks for your reply cowboy....

The light is a very low wattage flourescent tube that has a heat resistent cover over it.

I have a friend who sells wholesale electrical fittings and he found the light for me. You can wrap your hand around the light and feel a very slight warming sensation.....really are a great find.

Awesome! Do you sell them? If so, how much? If not, maybe you might consider it. Looks like you could carve out a nice little niche market for yourself. :)

I haven't sold any yet Creeper. The most recent one pictured was meant to be sold, but as I neared completion, I thought maybe I should get another corn.

You know, that cage design is exactly like what my mom builds for her dollhouse "roomboxes". LOL, I'm just imagining how much fun my snakes would have getting turned loose in her little bakery vignettes. Tee hee.

I really like this concept, I never thought of using anything like this to put my snakes in. Awesome! Cowboy is right, you should market these! :)
