Do Cornsnake Bites Hurt?

The only pet snake bite I had that hurt was when I accidentally cut myself on Eastern hoggy Addy's tooth- she didn't bite me. It bled a long time and hurt a little.

My adult corns have never tagged me, but a few babies did. One of mine, Lugosi, has since grown out of it...but he wasn't named Lugosi JUST because he's Vlad's son!

The worst bite I ever got was when one of my former ball pythons mistook me for food. I had to run the faucett over his head to make him let go. My hand turned black and doubled in size. It didn't really hurt, but I couldn't bend it.

I guess I'm the wimp of the group, because while it didn't "hurt" it did sting... like grabbing a hold of a cactus or a nettle. Not something that I prefer to repeat, so I'm glad Gailleann outgrew that stage :)

And this is the person who can brush aside a 1200lb horse standing on the top of her foot... I don't let him stay there, but it's not that big a deal. Of course, I'd prefer that not to happen too :D

I haven't been tagged yet... :uhoh: I know it's inevitable. Amadeus was reeeeaaal cranky about a week ago (I think I just startled the crap out of him) and he struck when I put his dish with fresh water down. Hit the dish, not me.

I wish it would just happen, so I could get it over with. But he's such a puppy... wait till I get a second (oh yeah, I have plans - eventually), I'll probably be jerking away from a little hatchling and you call can make fun of me.

I might be the only one to say that no, actually, snake bites DO hurt.

Just because it's a papercut-sting doesn't mean it isn't painful!

I'd rather say "yes, it's going to sting a bit, but it's only like a papercut, sore for a while" than say "no, it doesn't hurt at all."

My Colombian rainbow boa, on the other hand, when she struck and constricted my hand... that HURT. Left loads of bruising, too.
