Ok, I was holding domino right before I fed him, and my girlfriend suggested I put the mouse in my other hand while I was holding him to see how he responded.. (instead of just ptting the mouse in the viv as usual). I didnt think he would eat it, but as soon as he saw it, he was on it.. RIGHT IN MY HANDS.. I couldnt believe it. He actually ate out of my hand. That was the most awsome expierience ever. I had her take a couple pics to share with you all..

Very cool! I've had a few of mine stay wrapped around my hand while they fed. I try to move it out of there before that happens as you have to hold still (usually in the most awkard position) until they're done. My amel is one that you'd better have your whole body clear when you wave the rat in his direction or you might find yourself part of the meal!

Two nights ago I was holding Mira. (My 05 sunglow motley) She was in the middle of her evening FRANTIC and very spastic behaviors. (She is SO hyper at night) I filled a milk cap full of water and placed it up to her face. To my amazment, she dove her head toward it and began DRINKING. She drank for about 1 min and lifted her head out. I couldn't believe it!!

:crazy02:

Never had 1 eat out of my hand, but I have been able to get them to drink out of my hand a few times. Basically, I had the water running while holding one awhile back, and he seemed to be trying to get to the water, so I cupped my hand and let it fill with from the running water, and he just eased on over and started culping it down. It was pretty friggin cool. Been able to repeat it a couple times even. I just love sappy snake bonding moments, hehe. Congrats on yours

thanx..

They get thirsty with all the excersive from you holding them. LOL

I dont think Ill feed in my hand all the time. That was just an expieriment to see if he would do it. Ill have to see if he drinks from my hand.

It is so cool when they do that. I've have them both eat and drink out of my hand. When my snow corn was smaller, she would grab the mouse, then constrict my fingers. If my hand wasn't there, she would feel around with her tail until she found it. It's like she was trying to constrict, but coudn't figure out what to squeeze.

One of my girls is the same way. She's fine until I put her in her feeding cage. Then she knows what time it is and anything that moves is food in her eyes. I've been tagged a million times by her getting me mixed up with the mouse. She always looks up with this "what the hell is your hand doing there? where's my mouse?" look.

Last feed as I was lowering one of my snakes into the feeding tank she constricted on the mouse (which was already in the tank) while I was still holding her. She was then twisted around the mouse and my hand at the same time.. hah
Guess she was really ready to go
