Eastern Coral Snake

Nice Milk snake. ;)
actually a really nice looking animal. I would have almost been tempted to keep it. Been like that crazy guy with the kids.. its a scarlet king snake. lol

Thanks to the Boy Scouts, I remember very well...
Red next to black is a friend of Jack.
Red next to yellow can kill a fellow.

I suppose if I would have taken the time to read all the posts I would have seen that you guys know what you are doing (shoulda known)!!

I can see why you guys are tempted to catch one though.....they are way gorgeous!!! A lot prettier then the Red touches Black, friend to Jack snake.

I should have known better then to ?? what was going on.....although, it made me look it up and learn the difference between the two! So, out of my ignorance I learned something....what do ya know!! LOL!

A friend of mine had one of these in a tank for almost a year, thinking it was a milksnake. Lol. We both thought it went like this:

Red against black, watch your back.
Red against yellow, tame and mellow.

The landlady saw it and made him throw it outside.

Wow, that is an easy mistake that could have been extremely costly...Got lucky!

That's a Gorgeous coral! I've never seen one, but I'm thinking of heading to AZ this summer in search...

Thank God it never bit us! This one was kitten tame too despite being found outside. It was just like *Slither slither slither* "Oh. Hi. Okay. You can pick me up."

Omg Tyflier, I frickin' love the snake in your pic! I've always wanted a king like that. :)

A few years ago a guy came to our county fair. He was a reptile handler and exhibitionist. He had the usual suspects, burms, boas, caimens, iguanas, and stuff like that, but also had venomous snakes as well. He had a few rattlers and a coral snake. He free handled the coral snake! :uhoh:
