**WARNING**
The next post will be graphic. The one that broke my heart. A truck was about 200yds in front of me and he hit this gem. WHen I got there he was still moving and I got out my hammer to smash his head. He stopped moving however and snapped a few shots. Only because he was a beautiful snake and a large one.
Again, WARNING, very graphic. Don't look or scroll fast if you don't want to see a DOR.

Awwwwwww... Love the hoggie... I don't know if I could have let that one loose!!!
And so sad about the coachwhip. I haven't caught one that big yet, but I still hope to. Too bad about him getting run over... what a beauty he must've been...

Do people not even try to avoid running over snakes? Seems a big guy like that would show up on the road. Poor guy--he was a beauty!

About three years ago.....
I did work a brand new garbage dump South of Winter Haven. I found a DOR Coachwhip on that job.

Nearing the end....
of my stay at EC. Next week will be the end. On the plus, I'm heading to South Florida and Burmese Python land.
Cooling off a bit lately. Seventies in the morning, high eighties in the afternoon. Herps coming out again. A few DOR racers this week and a ribbon. A heartbreaker in a beautiful Rough Green I'l have pics of later. And a nice Glass Lizard as well.
To start, three garters in three days. A juvie racer and a special surprise....
I caught the garter, kept him ofr a day and then turned him lose....
Juvie racer on the same day....
