The first shed with my baby boy was in pieces and I was mad because i want everything to be perfect, so I bathed him in water and he shed with no problem so i was thinking, why is it bad to have an incomplete shed?
 
Bacteria breeds quickly on the dead skin. This can damage the living skin beneath.

Atleast, that's my understanding.

If the shed stays stuck on the snake you can have problems, especially if you have more than one incomplete shed in a row. Retained eyecaps (where the shed doesn't come off the eye) and the tip of the tail are the two most common ones. Snakes can go blind in one eye, or lose the tip of their tail. If you suspect your tank is a bit on the dry side, when you see your snake is getting ready to shed you can mist the tank with a spray bottle, and also providing a hiding place stuffed with damp moss for the snake can help.
 
I agree with the above; leaving bits of skin on the snake can do nasty things like cut off circulation.

A bad shed simply indicates that something is probably amiss, ie. the humidity is off or the snake is stressed.
 
But it's not like you are a crappy snake keeper. It's hard to get the humidity right for shedding. Next time, you can try covering the top of the viv loosely with plastic wrap, and even misting the underside of the wrap, in addition to making him a moist hide and misting the inside of the viv lightly once every couple days.
