Expo/Reptile fair question

Looking online, I saw a breeder offering a discount for purchases made before the Expo. And of course, others were selling and offering pickup from the show. What should I expect if I go to one? Will the prices be the same as online, just saving yourself the shipping? Somehow I thought there were great deals to be had? Of course, all the lovely beasties under one roof is a definite draw!

I've found some SUPERB deals at shows. I just bought a hypo lav stripe that was advertised on ks for $165 at a show. The seller had a pair, each marked at $115 at the show. I was there the second day at the last hour and joked about them being half price. He offered $150 for the pair, and I wound up taking home the female only for $75 (I already have a male!). Some sellers, I'm sure, offer snakes at about the same price as online, and a lot of sellers probably don't even sell online. Shows are worth attending just to learn about the different morphs and species and see everything/talk to people.

I've also heard you can get really good deals on all different types of supplies? I've never been to one either but am hoping to get to one this Oct.

I don't know how big it is, but the MidWest Reptile show is held every month at the fairgrounds. The next one is on Sat, Aug 28th. My kids will be at a party, wonder where their mom will be?!

We actually made a nice note about it on our website...so take a look for some good hints if you like.

Price wise...most are the same as breeders without the shipping. But some things are the price combined which is odd but true. LOL!
Sulcuta's for example tend to be 50 online with 50 shipping online and are 99 bucks at a show...so *shrugs* about the same.
