Louise's favorite hide is on the cool side of her cage. She just ate two pinkies, and immediately went over and got in her hide. Should I move the hide to the warm side? I never see her on the warm side at all.
She'll go where she wants to be... If you've got aspen or something similar, she can hide anywhere she wants by burrowing, so even if for some reason she doesn't like the hide on the warm side, she could always burrow there.
Is her only hide on the cool side? Make sure you've got at least two hides for her, one on the warm side and the other on the cool side. I wouldn't worry about moving around the hide she went directly into, but make sure she's got adequate places to hide in both temperature ranges.
she has three hides in her cage. One on the warm side, one on the cool side, and one in the middle. She just prefers the one on the cool side. Thanks for your guys help. :crazy02:

Are the three hides identical? Is there a lot of space between them? A corn may choose comfort/security over optimal digestive temperature. I was always worried about this issue myself, so now I use a single, long, snug hide that spans the entire temp gradient of each enclosure. This way, the snakes can easily move between temp zones, without exposing themselves by traveling between hides. Once I started doing this, I noticed that the snakes were where I thought they should be most of the time.
Immediately after feeding my biggest corn always heads to this place to digest; hanging to the 'ceiling' of his viv in the top of a plastic plant hanging down there. The're 2 plants at different distances of the bulb so he can choose his favorite temperature.
