I just experienced a nasty incident with my snake!!! I just got pooped on!!!

Just wondering, I know this is a bit graphic but before my snake pooped, a yellow blob of waste came out first before the brown stuff. It was runnyish. This is my first snake and its first poop (with me) so I just want to be sure it's alright.

As long as it isn't bloody or green (or purple or blue j/k) , then it should be fine! Sorry about the somewhat gross, but true, description! The yellow or somewhat white area of the poop is just crystalized urine.

Felix...welcome to the club of pooped on herpers. Some would say that you are now a bonefied herper.
 
haha, i cought a wild big garter snake and i was carying it home and then i started to smell something and i looked dawon and there was poop all the way down my leg... ugghh.
 
hmmm pooped on.. whatever happened to that old adage... dont poop on the hand that feeds you....

With my zoo, i have been pooped on by 3 of 5 corns, and the water dragon.. his ass pooped when he was on top of my head, so nothing is worse than that....

I have a Black Mexican Kingsnake that musks blood from his vent when he gets peeved. :eek1:
 
I would rather be pooped on, musked on, etc by any herp than what an injured vulture will do to you when it comes into the rehab you work at....there is NOTHING worse than vulture regurg....imagine..what do they normally eat....totally rotten and decaying road kill....put it in a vulture's crop for awhile and let it start to digest a bit....then get it pucked all over you when you first get hold of the frightened and injured bird! Not even 50% bleach will get the smell out of your clothes! And it takes about 3 long showers and an entire bar of deodorant soap so you can stand to be in the same room with yourself!

I remember the first time my snake pooped on me....-.- It was maybe 2 weeks after I got her.....Then she peed on me about 3 months or so later and since she's been good with that.

It was nasty when it happened but now I find it amusing to think about!! :grin01:

You can always tell when Suzy will poop as he:

a) Stays still
b) Lifts his tail up

I used to put him in a tub of water first, he would swim, climb out, rest his bum just over the water edge, poo, then carry on.

Do I have a toilet trained snake - :rofl:
