Murphy's Guinea Pig
I finally found a new apartment after nearly a month of frantic searching. My ex said I had until June 1st to be out, and I was very lucky to be able to find a place that will take dogs/exotics, be in my price range, and available now! I'm paying a teeny bit more than I budgeted for, but the apartment is a large 1br with heat/hw/electric included. I move in Monday and am signing the lease tomorrow.
I'll have to post new pics when I move in as the main living room will have to be my reptile room. I don't have that many possessions anymore as my ex decided we would use his things when we first moved in, so I've got a bed, a computer and comp chair, a bookshelf, and that's about it. He's also insisting on keeping my two main snake racks (which he did purchase), leaving me with just the hatchling racks and the snakes/bins themselves. What he's going to do with two snake racks, I have no idea; he was never fond of the snakes at all. So I'm scrambling to build two quick racks for the fourteen snakes/bins that will have nowhere to go.
Despite that frustration, I'm very excited to move into the new place. Aside from this situation, my ex-girlfriend has thrown me out and my old landlord sold the house halfway through my lease, so I'm happy to have a place where I'm the one in control and calling the shots. Plus half the apartment is in New Hampshire and the other half in Massachusetts, which I think is pretty cool.
