I'm sorry but BLEACH? I know a lot of people say to use bleach, but I mean come on! What happens to people if they drink bleach? They die, or get really sick. So you are washing a reptile's things, who weighs less than 20 grams, in a bleach solution. How does that make sense? We get really sick and sometimes even die depending on how much we drink of it, and you put it in with your tiny reptile? One lick of it and it'll be dead! And I know, I know, you rinse it off afterward, but, (if you haven't noticed) bleach is a very strong substance, and the fumes from it are enough to make a person pass out. Pretty much, if it can harm a full grown person, it will harm things smaller than a full grown person, proportionally. This means that if your snake is 35x smaller than you, then it will harm the snake 35x more. They make commercially available cleaners for reptiles, because they are safe. A reptile can be around that stuff and not freak out. That is also why they are so expensive, they are hard to make, and zoo-med pretty much cornered the market, considering they are the only manufacturer I have seen.
ANYWAYS! I can't find any orange crusty stuff any more considering he is in aspen now. However, I did find some poop! There was poop on his vines when I woke up yesterday morning. I cleaned it off. FOR ALL OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT SNAKE POOP LOOKS LIKE-- IT LOOKS LIKE BIRD POOP!
Why was that so hard to say? lol
