He /she is still a hatchling I didn't feel it but saw it can anyone tell my why and when he gets older If they bite will it hurt I'm sure it will bleed but thought I'd ask. It seems tango the one who got loose loves me and the other one mango don't like me?? Jelousy?? Soz about spelling lol

It happens. If you're going to keep snakes, you should probably get used to being bitten. Even our most beloved family pet will taste us if we smell like food, make them feel threatened, back them into a corner, or hurt them. Snakes cannot be truly domesticated, and they will always respond to stimulation instinctively.

There can be any number of reasons why a generally docile pet might strike one day. The best I can tell you is to make sure you don't smell like food or startle your snake.

Cornsnake bites don't hurt badly. Stubbing your toe hurts WAY more than a full grown cornsnake bite...

No biggie. :)

Try not to worry about if your snakes love you or not...just handle all of them everyday. Thats how they become tame in the first place, and its what keeps them that way. Its nothing to do with how the other snakes treat you...theres not any thought on that level. ;) they all "love" you the same...remember snakes don't feel people feelings. ;)
He might keep trying to bite you, but don't let that little spitfire push you around. Keep handling him, and try not to flinch. I'm sure he'll knock it off eventually. If not? Like tyflier said, It doesn't hurt. (and you'll get to be a part of the bite club:p)

I meant to mention that hatchlings seem to be much more agressive than the older ones. I have heard most grow out of it, with regular handling.

I got tagged for the first time a while last night by a yearling. I yelped because it surprised me, geez, they're fast! He drew a little blood and it stung for a sec, but mostly it just startled me.
