I use newspaper for everything, and they all find ways under it. Usually under the paper + in their hides at the same time.
 
Same thing happens with Toulouse. He generally ends up in between sheets of newspaper, and I'm at a loss of his whereabouts until I notice the odd lump between the paper. :crazy02:
 
my snakes the same. he lives under the newspaper. when i am in the same room he often pops his head out to have a look at what you are doing.

Haha. Funny this thread starts today, cuz when Atreyu was finished eating his 2 small pinkies today, he decided to burrow under the newspaper that's in his feeder tank. It's cool, cuz I can hold the feeder tank up and spy on him. :crazy02: :grin01:
 
I used to put newspaper under my aspen shavings, but my Nagini would always be hiding in it and I would have to pull everything out to get her.
 
I took my amel to the vet this week in a tank with newspaper at the bottom. She promptly burrowed and I had to introduce her to the vet as "my pet newspaper".
 
lol. i can imagine the look on the vets face. the vet hates it when i visit him because he knows i do not have one normal animals. i have a rabbit that licks him to death, a dog that nearly has a heart attack every time she is in there and another male rabbit likes to get a bit friendly with him - I think you get the picture

eeeeeeeeee. plz i hate eyes. lol. poor snake if it did. my viv is not wide enough to take a full sheet of newspaper so some curls up the sides. this will hopefully stop paper cuts!
