Serpent Mound Monk
Hello all, been out of the "loop" here for awhile...Hope all my friends here are doing well...River and Buckeye ( the dog, now 90lbs.) and myself have a new hobby and that is arrowhead hunting, we've had some great luck and an awesome time doing it and learning about the different cultures and eras of Native Americans... anyone else into this?

I had a terrible year breeding, we had an early 'heat wave' here in this part of Ohio and it seems it may have sterilized ALL of my males.

Out of ten clutches I got a bunch of duds, dead eggs and all the ones that looked good went bad. The final clutch were these blood and I looked in and tiny maggots had gotten to the last few decent eggs...I threw it and the trash and was working on my snake-room and went to throw something else out and there he was peeping out...he hadn't shed yet, but I gave him a pinky anyways and he gobbled it right up.

The BEST part is I've now proven that my line of pied-sided is inheritable,as this is an F3 generation blood...I just listed this "Miracle" in the for sale section.

Anyhow, I'm in the process of selling off my small collection of Ball Pythons and DEFINITELY hanging on to my corns ( with the exception of some extra hold-back males) and a few kings I have ( although I am selling that Grayband Hybrid Kingsnake female soon too) and that female Amel tricolor Hondo.

Good to be back!

Pics of us camping from earlier this summer.

Hey Sista, hope you're doing great too! You still got those Thayeri's? I'm gonna breed next year, if I can stop my male from escaping, he's been out twice...stupid latch ( or owner) isn't working right.

I've been doing quite well, for the most part.

Yep, still have the Thayeri pair, they won't be quite ready to breed next year, I don't think. I've actually been thinking of getting rid of my kings along with quite a few of my corns. I'm looking to 'specialize' in a few morphs and would like to downsize to snakes that are important for my projects (along with a few that are extra special to me for one reason or another).

Your male is an escape artist? That's funny! Mine don't seem to have any interest in being free range snakes...well, other than my cali king male. He's always trying to get out! Oh, and the suspected charcoal lavender girl I got from Jeff in March (I think you were there)...she escaped in April and my mom found her in the backyard sometime in July!! She's now in an escape-proof tub.

Good to see you back, Kyle.

I was talking about you the other day. I said Kyle would know the answer to that. But I forgot what it was.
