Freshly shed and gettin' big...

This is Soleil, my '06 Hypo Florida king(suspected Eastern intergrade). She is growing like a little weed. She is almost as big as my female '05 anery mot. Of course...she has never refused a meal in her life. She's one of those quintessential king snakes that eats whatever you give her whenever you give it to her...freshly shed, starting blue, completely blind, just ate 2 days ago...she doesn't care. If it looks like dinner, and smells like dinner...she'll give it a go!

Measuring 35" in length and weighing in at 208 grams, she is easily my biggest '06 by a full 8" and 60 grams...that's practically a hatchling!!

Anyhow, here is Soleil in all her glory! Thanks for Looking!

Very nice king! I do want one but at the same time...I dunno...Right now I'm just sticking to corns..but yours is a beauty, she's coming along great! :0)

Soleil is _so_ pretty!! I had Big Jake out last night for an hour, watching Scrubs, and I noticed you can see him move his eyes, because they are gold with a dark splotch. Have you noticed that with Soleil? I don't think I've seen a snake move its eyes before.

Yesterday when we were cut off from cs for so long I was looking at the ks.com kingsnake forum. Wow, there are some crazy Floridana morphs there. Sulpher Lav??? This is really a cool species that not so many people know about.

Yea...there are a ton of Floridana morphs around. Even more than Cali morphs, when you start counting all of the different brooksi variations...

They are probably my favorite snake after corns, and I definitely have plans for more in the works...

Soleil is looking great, Chris (and I love the name)! :) These FLs get BIG, FAST! My '05 Lav-Albino is HUGE. She puts away a jumbo retired breeder mouse in no time, and then she still looks around for more. And these bad girls and boys are STRONG. I think mine could break my hand if she wanted to.

They _are_ strong! Jake was crawling around behind my neck last night- just squeezing between me and the back of the chair, and it was like getting a neck massage! It's almost like they like to show you how strong they are, too- he always holds on to me so tightly!
