My hypo male just shed, and is looking lovely.

I love all things Bairdi, but the hypos really knock my socks off!

Thanks for looking!

I love Bairdi's...BUT HYPO! Omnomnom. He's so gorgeous! I think he deserves a photoshoot! Unless you've already done one, in which case, just point me in the right direction!

You'd better keep that one under lock, key, and retina scan if I come visit! He is just beautiful!

LOL! I had better get some more padlocks! I do keep locks on the cages of my more expensive pythons, in the unlikely event someone breaks in and knows snakes!

I definitely need to do a photo shoot with him and his girlfriend. These snakes are stunning in person, and after a shed, they look like their scales have been polished!

Very beautiful, what is his temperament like??? And how long is he?

He's about 3.5 feet, and very mellow. These guys are a pleasure to keep.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Gorgeous snake! I think Bairdis are just about the only North American rat I like besides corns. Those colors are beautiful!

Where did you get yours? I've got a few, but they're all closely related.

I got my pair from John Schmidt at Suncoast Herp in Florida. You may have seen his ad on Kingsnake last August. He was selling the breeder adults (my pair) and their babies. Did yours come from John as well?

Thanks! I'm a bit of a ratsnake nut; besides Baird's I keep calico black rats, brindle black rats, some whitesides, and white oak grey rats. They are all beautiful in my opinion, but I think the Baird's are my favorites.

Mine came from Gregg Feaster. I'm not sure where they originally came from. He got them as young adults. I have a male hypo and female het from their first clutch with me and a 1.1 of hets from '08. I'm not that interested in breeding them anymore. I love the look, but I need to focus on certain things and Bairds probably won't be in there.
