I've been feeding my little guy frozen mice since I got him, but I´m just curious of giving him a live mouse (not forever, just once) :O, hmm If he never had al live prey in his life, he will know how to kill him?
Why in the world would you want to do that??
There is no benefit to the snake, but it can be dangerous for the snake.
And the snake may not go back to thawed afterwards.
Is it a selfish desire to watch one animal kill another?
Just stay on thawed, it's safest for the snake...AND keeps yet another mouse from dying a violent painful death.
mine goes back and forth all the time but there is a risk you take with your snake not going back to f/t so it's your choice, most likely you'll be fine though, your just safer with f/t or f/k over live
Duuude, if you're curious just go to youtube. There are probably 28,000 vids of snakes killing and eating rodents there. And each will be accompanied by some killer, repetetive Nü-Metal tune! Duh-duh-duh, Duh-duh-duh, DUH DUH!
Don't forget, live mice can carry parasites. Of the four snakes I have that I checked for worms, ALL of them had them! Why take that risk if you don't have to?
