Getting new. Corn

I will be getting new. Corn soon and was wondering if I have my tank set up right next to my other. Corn can I use the thermostat from others tank to. Control the uth or do I need to buy another thermostat?

That's a neat idea, it makes me wonder, though, what about the thermostat prob? There's only one, right? So how would it properly monitor two tanks?

I mean with therms in both tanks you could keep a close eye on it, but...

You can share a thermostat between two vivs if the vivs are the same size and the UTHs are the same size and manufacturer. If the vivs are side by side the temps will be the same. If the vivs are stacked, the upper viv will be warmer. You just need to motor the temp of the UTH in each viv, and put the stat probe in whichever one you want.

U put the probe on one UTH and digital thermometers on both UTH's. They'll b the same temp, maybe have a degree off or so. I have been doing it for quite a while and never had any issues as of yet.

I run a stack of three vivs from one stat using a multi-way extension socket and that works well. They're the same layout with the same size/make/model of UTH. The probe is in the middle one. The temps in upper and lower vivs vary very little from the middle one.

Personally I've always quarantined new snakes in a separate room for at least 6 months. It doesn't totally eliminate the risk of new corns bringing in disease such as crypto but it gives me a chance to see if they have any obvious signs of not thriving before I risk my other snakes
