Baby everglades rat hatchlings

Here are a few more photos of these guys- warning cuteness overload. They are hard to get photos of because they launch themselves out of the tub at you if they feel the slightest disturbance. I had to "sneak up on them" with the camera!

The sinaloans are finally hatching.
So unfortunately I did have some of the eggs go bad again, even incubating at lower temps. I am not sure what I'm doing wrong. Only four eggs look good and those have pipped, and at least one baby is aberrant. Unless there's another good egg under the pile that I can't see...
On the bright side four is better than two (last year) and I can't wait til the spotted one emerges!

The everglades babies are still being a PITA about eating, so I may have to resort to lizard scenting - I want to try live first so I'm waiting for a litter of pinkies.

And here is the aberrant sinaloan baby out at last. <3 stripeyness! He has a little black heart on his head lol
I think the rest are going to be normals but they're still not out of their shells yet.
