Hey everyone

I recieved my 80GB iPod Classic in the post yesterday, and I only have 364 songs on my iTunes. So I was wondering, can you give me some songs to put on there? I'm pretty open with regards to music, the only kinds I dislike are hip-hop and rap.

Thanks :)

David

Hm.. I don't think you'll like anything I suggest... But how about The Coral, The Rascals (modern ones), Franz Ferdinand, Blood Red Shoes, TLSP, We Are Scientists, Reverend and the Makers... ? CSS is good too but I know for sure you will hate 'em.
I think Blood Red Shoes are worth checking out... they're really, really good.

Anarchy Club - Collide (Anarchy Club was introduced to me by Guitar Hero 2. Very cool indie band who also are part of Harmonix (Along with the next suggestion):

Bang Camaro - Push Push (Lady Lightning)

A little Italian metal is good for the awesome:
Lacuna Coil - Our Truth (Lacuna Coil is the band Evanescence WISHES it could be)

If you can find where to get these guys' stuff, let me know:
Crooked X - Nightmare (These guys are like, 13 years old!)

No list is complete with a little German industrial:
Eisbrecher - Adrenalin

Or German rock:
Die Toten Hosen - Hier Kommt Alex

And just because I'm on a German band kick:
E Nomine - Schwarze Sonne

I'll be back later with more.

The first song you posted, yeah. I was listening to Rammstein earlier this morning and one of the songs sounded similar. Forgot which one.. gonna have to search for it.

I really wish I could find Sister Machine Gun's tracks Temptation and Living Without You on youtube. Man, those songs are amazing.

Thanks for all the new material guys!

Nova C, Crooked X have to be older than 13! No way is that voice from a 13 year-old, but it's pretty good to be honest.

I've heard Hier Kommt Alex before, it's on GH3 isn't it? :)

Watch their video for Rock And Roll Dream. The drummer looks like he should still be playing with Duplo. :p

Yeah, Hier Kommt Alex was on GH3.

Ok, I'm seeing not a one of Grateful Dead, Warren Zevon (I actually partied with him! *major lust*) Or Godsmack. It's so hard when you youngins don't appreciate good music. ;) When I come visit, I'll hook you up with some REAL music!

Riiiight.
Because people screaming in your ears is, just, wonderful music. (Talking 'bout metal here, such as Godsmack and others mentioned)

Dave, I forgot to mention Sigur Rós.. They're very good. Was going to say Patrick Wolf but he's a bit too folk-y for your taste, I reckon.

Hey, I'm downloading them as we speak ;)

Besides, check out my music list. Most of that stuff is classic, vintage, don't you go wagging your finger at me ;) I might have to push you off the top of Snowdon when you come and visit for that.

How have you heard of all of these obscure British artists LOL. You're American and you know more about my country's current music scene than I do. :grin01:
