So we are going to be going to my Dad's this weekend and again in 2 weeks for the MARS show. We are going to be gone only about 24 hours. Those of you with Crested Gecko hatchlings..what do you do with them when you go? It is a 2 hour drive each way. Should I take them with me since they have to be misted 2x per day or just mist them really good tomorrow morning then again right before we leave then again as soon as we get back and again that (Sat) night? The adults should be okay if I mist them right before we go. Just not sure about those little babies..they are only 3 weeks old!

If I was you I would put just a little extra water in the food and extra moisture in the air and the should be fine.

I agree with David. I mist ours once every day or so, but not twice a day, and they don't get misted when we are away. I think the stress of travelling would be way worse than missing a day of misting.

That's what we thought but the breeder insisted we take them so they can stay on the same misting schedule...they are only 3 weeks old. But I am afraid about throwing off their temps and movement more I think

I think so long as you mist them really well before you leave and right when you get back they should be fine.

Look these are geckos from a cooler area. They ARE reptiles. They have a much different metabolism than humans. 2 days without food will be fine! You guys are doing a great job!

If they have a screen lid, you could cover that with plastic wrap, llosely, and mist the underside of the wrap.

David, it isn't the food we were worried about. They get Crested Gecko Diet every 2 days. It is the humidity we were concerned about. Babies need more humidity than the adults. But we are going to double spray them today.
They are in tubs. Enchantra is in a viv with a screen lid so we will be sure we cover it!
