I was cleaning out hatchling tubs tonight and as I would open them, most of the snakes were in good poses for a picture and sitting still, so couldn't pass up some good picture opprotunities.

So please excuse the poo in a couple of the shots, it has since been removed. :p

What an awesome looking group, Misty. I can't believe how light your Phantoms are already. The Hypo Pewter is a jaw dropper, and of course that picture of Bacchus speaks for itself. Did the Miamis come from Carol? I absolutely love that male.

Is the Hypo with the kink the one from Susan whose tail was practically U shaped? I was just wondering about that snake yesterday. She was such a beautiful hatchling.
Nice to know she found such a loving home!

WOW! What a great looking assortment! Gotta say that Hypo Pewter comes in first with me, that Miami male in a close 2nd, then the Phantoms tied in for 3rd :crazy02:

Mary Beth, yes, that's the one. As she grows, the kink really becomes less noticeable with time. She's still got the spunk though, flailing musk is always nice. ;)

Here's a pic from her in February with the still apparent kink:

Really gorgeous animals!!! Congrats!

Is it aquarium rock you use as substrate? Do you like it better than aspen?

lol, it's called Kaytee SoftSorbent. It's whats left over from paper processing, I think. I like it for hatchlings, as its soft and diggable, but not dusty or smelly. But its really absorbant for those inevitable waterbowl accidents the little snakes seem to create continuously.

However, its kind of expensive, so I only use it in the little tubs. I think Carlos uses it too, not for sure.

Wow, they are all looking fantastic Misty! Bacchus and Schnee are growing nicely! Can't complain about the looks of the phantoms either!

Terrific snakes Misty! And it's really nice to see Suzie doing so well! And it's really surprising to see that the kink has straightened out as much as it has. I'm not too pleased with her continued attitude, but you have to admire her drive to be a survivor!
