• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Guess that herp!!!

If it was a band I could tell you when they formed or something...
Snakes.... ?
I'm not even sure where they are from..... It's another of Joels.......
I can tell you..... He said they'll all think it's a Racer.... And most have... So I'm guessing it's not....

Right people.... I've googled this snake....
There is no real info I can find to give you clues.....
All I can do is give it's location away, and that would basically give the name out....
Fair play to Joel he knows some obscure snakes.....
If I were you, I'd mark down a win to Joel and just get on with the game....
Or you can keep guessing....
It's up to you...

It would seem to be a racer or coachwhip/whipsnake-related snake (spots in juvy that fade in adulthood, the "braided-ish" look of the tail).
If it is so obscure, that the only pictures in existence are from someone who has one......well, Toshiro......come and fetch me again, like you did last time, when the thread becomes fun again.
My guess is some south of the equator, western hemisphere Coluber. LOL. Pretty general, hunh? May even be eastern hemisphere.

EDIT : As I posted and read the above, it sounded kind of grouchy (with a "B" word) and I did not mean for it to sound that way. Just frustrated I can't ID the sucker. :D

I Havnt got a clue what your on about LOL

Colubers right, as long as it has a toxicological name it can be identified and it has, and it begins with M...

I think some one has already mentioned Masticophis bilineatus ssp. or Masticophis lateralis, although it doesn't look like either to me, really.

NOTE EDIT FROM PRIOR POST : As I posted and read the above post #530, it sounded kind of grouchy (with a "B" word) and I did not mean for it to sound that way. Just frustrated I can't ID the sucker. :D

After such a difficult snake, here's an easy lizard.
