Very possible. The Alien theory is just a bit of a jab at those who Refuse to believe that life exists elsewhere, yet...steadfastly believes in god? Odd.

Didn't they find a human footprint next to a dino-print in a fossil.

My uncle believes that the government waits till after dark to "Hide" man-made Dino bones in the sides of mountains to try and turn people against "God".

I don't visit him much! :)
 
Well, if you think about it, what organization on this planet would likely have the most vested compelling reason to try to suppress any real evidence of the existence of aliens?
