hand feeding

trouser snake
haha, i was just wondering if anyone else had every hand fed their corn snake? i just tried it last night and mine does good with it!

Yeah it's all good and well till they start eyeing up your fingers!! I fed mine on a little tray when he was a baby, but tongs are the only way now he's a beast. He's got bad aim for a start :)

I do......

I always hand feed my boys...its more satisfying !!! they jump throught he air & snatch it out of my hand & then roll with it.. - its amazing..... by far more x-citing than feeding them on a tuppawear lunch box lid as i used to..they say the tamest you will ever get yr snake is when you are able to hand feed !

I have had to get hatchlings started this way (tease feeding) but I don't like to do it once it is no longer necessary. I feel if a snake associates hands and being held with food it can get nippy. Of the babies I have raised it's the tease-fed ones that always seem to 'tag' me most often!

Na, my 2 aim very well, There is always a 1st time tho but they have never bitten me, I always hold the mice by the tip of their tail...anyway does it actually hurt when an adult corn bites ??
