I had a dream last night that I found a bunch of snakes in my bedroom. There was a boa as well as 4 corns. They were an amel stripe adult, an anery adult, a really cool okeetee baby (it had both thick white AND black borders around its saddles), and an anery baby. The corns were from under my boa cage cabinet in my bedroom and the boa was there too. The last one was this random hot I had no clue what it was but it was under my bed and I called Kyle (aka ForkedTung) to help me remove it. When I called him, his son River answered the phone and then I woke up. Lol. I think I'm officially addicted now that I dream about them. Or, it just means that I need to buy more corns.

What about you? Have you ever had a dream about reptile stuff?
 
Constantly! I had one just this morning. There were dozens of snakes stuffed in bags hanging from the ceiling at a reptile show. Katie (arpeggio) was brave enough to reach in and grab one for me. I carried it like a baby, wrapped in a blanket and everything, but we had to get it home to give it a bath. It didn't seem to phase me when I unwrapped it and noticed that the snake now had four legs and a long tail.

No more pizza on feeding nights for me! ;)
 
I can probably remember most of the dreams I know I have had - thats not to say there arent ones I cant remember...

I remember vividly one that led I think to my phobia of anything vaguely ant/wasp shaped. I have no idea what brought it on.

I've had hospital dreams and other stuff like that but nothing really about snakes - cute tho they are.
 
I have herp/snake dreams all the time. One I clearly remember involved swimming underwater with Dave123, seeing bearded dragons grazing on stones, underwater, like iguanas. The water was emerald green.

I had a snakes on the plane kind of dream.

I dream frequently about finding lots and lots of snakes.
 
Phew... I'm not alone :)! I've had quite a few, and it was actually a dream that really made me want to get my 1st Corn Snake. I had already gotten Leopard Geckos a couple of months prior, and had seen some Corn Snakes at Petco. I had given thought to how cool it would be to own one, and one night I dreamed that I had gotten one. It was an all white snake, and I was SO happy... only to wake up and be disappointed, lol.

But, still to this day I have dreams about finding snakes. So many of them involve Corn Snakes, like different morphs, or even some that have yet to exist. But every time I have them, I wake up disappointed, because my dreams are so vivid that I was certain they were real.
 
The strange thing here is.... We have dreams about snakes and wake up happy.... Most people call snake dreams nightmares...... LOL
 
I too have dreams of finding snakes. I dreamt I was at the local mall, somewhere I go about once a year, and there was screaming going on, so being the good person I am (at least in my dreams!) I go to help and everyone is screaming at a bright yellow ball python who is balled up in the middle of the floor. So I pick it up and it cuddles up to me & I tell everyone I will take it to a reptile rescue and not to be afraid, they are not venomous, but I know I am going to keep it!
 
I have also dreamt that Attitude, the little monster, grew a tiny, tiny rattle on her tail and I thought in the dream "I KNEW you were really a rattlesnake!"
 
Every breeding season I have recurring nightmares as I'm waiting for the first eggs to hatch. I live through every possible disaster scenario for my adults and the new hatchlings nightly, until the first pippie appears. I see it as my subconscious reminding me to be a vigilant Grandma!
 
I've had snake nightmares. Like one where I checked Boo's tank and found probably sixteen wriggly little snakes of all the highest of high end morphs... and I was still frantically trying to find MY sweet little normal.

Or one where I asked my parents to care for my snakes for a week and came home to find they'd filled the tanks with water.

Or one where I fell into a ditch and there were like 6 hots and a green one bit me before I could get out of their way.

I had a dream last night about someone giving me a whole bunch of gopher torts (can't have them without an impossible to get permit) and spinless cacti. I was trying to figure out how to re-release them.
 
I've had dreams while waiting for my first (and so far, only) clutch of eggs. Just like was previously stated, I was having nightmares about all the possible bad outcomes.

My most vivid snake dream was where I walked into our local pet store and they had a new snake room. I went in there and the corn snakes were all co-habbed and sorted by color, but they weren't in vivs or tanks, they were in bulk candy dispensers. You know the ones I'm talking about? The ones that hold Jelly Bellys and what not? Well when the owners weren't looking I was stuffing snakes in my pockets because there were SO many in these holders that they were just like wiggling spaghetti. They were small too, maybe 3 inches long and the colors were so amazing and vibrant! I knew they were corns, but they were each colors and patterns I'd never seen before.

Another was where I was going through a zoo and came to where they kept the snakes. They were in 10-gallon tanks and not housed very nicely. I pulled a sick one out of it's tank and stuffed it in my shirt, knowing I'd take better care of it than they were.

So apparently I'm a snake-klepto in my dreams :shrugs: :rofl: :roflmao:

In my defense, I don't feel like the pet store takes very good care of their snakes which is why I think I had the first dream, and as stated, the snake in the second dream was neglected and sick.. so I'm sure that my intentions were good, hahaha!
 
I used to go herping a lot in jr. high, high school, and college. So I dream about herping fairly often. Herp stuff, in general,...all the time.
 
I have a often recurring dream about a recently fed snake - oddly in blue -continually entering and leaving its moist hide, sometimes slowly, sometimes quickly.

But it's always moving, in and out, in and out, in and out, until finally, it regurges.

Yep, I have that dream quite often. For some reason, I really like that dream.

Nope, never. I do often have horse-riding dreams though. Merlin and I have actually won the Badminton horse trials a few times, Coconuts and I have galloped along a beach in Spain, and Joe has jumped puissance with Cathy riding him!

I had a dream two days ago that rapidly went from weird to horribly upsetting.

I had a whole bunch of adult snakes just sitting around the house for some reason including one, apparently my favourite, which was over 10ft and banded in a light bronze/black/white and which seemed to be a mishmash, it'd curl up on my lap like a ball python for example (at which point my legs would go to sleep too), but looked different from one of those. If anyone knows of a snake that has those colors by the way let me know - I had an impression that it was a real animal or breed for a reason I cant explain.

Then this small brown snake turns up - weirdly scaled - sort of like a uromastyx - and starts striking at everything in sight - especially the one I described above... I think it ranks as one of the nastiest and most upsetting dreams I've ever had. I didnt sleep for the rest of the night :(
 
I just had one last night! It involved my project for this year (proving hets and hopefully making some awesome babies in the process). It was SO realistic! I even had all the pairings correct, when hets proved out they were with the right animals (and when they didn't prove out, it was with the same male both times....goodness I hope that one isn't true, he's pretty important to the project!). I woke up a little disappointed about Flynn's lack of a charcoal het (better not come true), but I was ecstatic that I still managed to produce a GORGEOUS pinstriped phantom from another pair (keeps fingers crossed for that really one happening). :)
 
I had another dream last night. Well, a bunch of little dreams about herps.

The first was that my friend Jeni's place was on fire and I had to rescue all her animals, which consisted or a bunch of boas, corns, and a few lizards. (Which, I'm pretty sure is not what she owns but I rolled with it. Lol.)

The next I was on a bus coming home from campus and I had Aly and Charlie with me. I kept finding a bunch of other snakes on the bus, on the floor or in the seats. People were freaking out and I'm like MINE MINE THEY"RE ALL MINE!!! Lol. I found an anery, a few others but I can't remember what morph, and an Axanthic Hognose (one of my dream snakes). Omg that hognose was so beautiful I almost cried when I woke up and it wasn't there anymore. :( I experience my first 'tag' sort of in my dream too. The pretty hoggie got me twice and it got all swollen and stuff in my dream. Lol.
 
Last night I had a dream that some guy who had snakes was trying to get my little cousin over her fear of snakes with a bright red, green, blue, and purple ATB. It was cartoonishly long, like 2 ft. and about as big around as a pencil.

Well something happened and he just left without it so I was stuck with it.

I was trying to make an enclosure for it using things I had and it wasn't going well. I was trying to use the straight bottoms of plastic clothes hangers as perches, and and some sort of tupperware container and my mom came in and ripped it off the perch it was on for some reason. It was turning into a fiasco, and then I woke up.

But I remember thinking in the dream, won't Wade be jealous of this oddly colored ATB I have? ;)
