I'm sitting at work shaking because I'm so happy that my little guy is here. He just got here by surprise, He wasn't supposed to be here for another hour or so and I was getting really ansy when the fedex lady walked through the door. My eyes lite up. Special thanks go to Brandi at Cajun Corns I would recommend her to anyone looking to get a baby corn. She is so easy to deal with and she has great communication. She will make your whole transaction a great deal easier. I also want to thank all of you guys for all of your help I can't wait to get him home and take some pictures of him in his cage.:dancer:

He's...he's at work with you?
Poor baby ain't gonna know what's going on. Try to resist the urge to keep peeking in on him since you're not taking him out till after work.

Congrats though, can't wait to see settled in pics!

They didn't know what it was until I opened it to make sure he was ok. hehe. I made sure my boss wouldnt freak out first though. The fedex lady walked in like she was holding a bomb because it said this end up fragile (harmless snake) and then she made me open it so she could see him. It was so cool. I felt like a little kid at :santa: time. Hes going to be tired after a long day at work with daddy. But I'm not opening the box anymore till he gets home so hopefully he will just sleep all day. I'm kindof worried about him. Should I be?

Just let him be he's probally really freaked out. Just make sure he's not in direct heat or cold, and right next to a vent open window etc etc.

Hah! The box says perishable. I suppose if it had a sticker slapped on it that said "live snake" the delivery people might get nervous.

Congratulations on buying your first corn. Ghosts are beautiful, I have a female myself.

Congrats on you're new arrival...shouldn't you be passing cigars around the forum, Daddy? He's positively adorable. I can't wait until Saturday when I can get mine.

On another note, may I suggest some silk plants for his new home. Cheap, pretty and will give him more cover so he feels more secure, especially going from hide to hide. Although with the aspen he'll probably just make a subway system.

Happy conga line for you :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:

No, he'll be fine. It looks like whoever you bought him from was very professional in their packaging. Remember, the snake has survived in the shipping box for a night already. He's actually probably not too freaked out in there as long as you're not picking up the box every two seconds or disturbing him. The heat pack should last for the rest of the day.

If he's a hatchling just make sure to stick strictly to the 2-3 day rule of no disruptions once you get him settled into his viv.
