heat failure!

Deuce is watching!
Got up this morning to find Balthazar's (MBK) heat mat had failed. It was around 68-69 degrees in his viv. I cranked up the furnace to 75 and got the whole house warm for him until I can get a new mat after work. It was working at about 7pm last night so I have no idea when it failed. Are there any issues with him spending a night in the upper 60s?

No, he'll be fine. They can tolerate cooler temps just fine. If he had just eaten, then possibly that may be an issue, but I wouldn't think it would be.

Thanks Matthew. Actually tonight is meal day. I will setup new mat and get temps adjusted before feeding him. Should I let him heat up in viv for an hour or so before feeding also?

Nice...I'm having issues with Inez's heat, too. This morning, the house is 72F, Choco is 84F and Inez is 76F. They are on the same thermostat, but Choco has a ZooMed mat and Inez has an ExoTerra Desert. Good example of why mats should match when on the same thermostat...I'm going to have to switch one of them out.

I would probably get the temps right and then just wait a day to let him settle in and get back up to temp. You probably don't have to wait and everything would be just fine, but I figure it's better safe than sorry.
