heat lamp, heat mat, or heat rock

i do chores and still no moneyand you guys aren't really into positive encouragment are you

We try not to encourage people who go against what we advise, especially when they start multiple threads asking the same thing and have a snippy attitude.

Since you're trying to save money, I recommend building one of these instead of buying a thermostat: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19168&highlight=make+rheostat

I've built 4, and they all work great. You just have to be sure to check it a couple of times a day and adjust it a little when necessary. In order to check them properly, you need a digital thermometer with probe.

let me remind you this is a post to tell people your favorite setup not to tell how to fix it ok from here on out please only do that

I would think you'd want to take the advice of others on how to fix something.

If you don't like the way this forum is, why don't you go make your own? Then you can have alll the rules you want. This is an OPEN forum. You don't get to make rules on how to post to your thread.

We are into the proper care of corn snakes. We won't encourage you positively until you actually take notice to the things you are doing wrong and take the advice of the professionals on how to fix it. If you don't even have the money to buy the proper heat methods for your snake, you should not have a snake until you are at least old enough to understand what caring for a snake is even about.

hey guys i turned off the heat lamp and wont be turning it on because its summer

Oh that's wonderful, now the snake has no heat at all.

You need to take that poor snake back to where ever you got it or give it to someone who is willing to take care of it because obvisously you don't care what it needs.

Depends what size tank you have. A UTH for a ten gallon is about $15-20.
This homemade rheostat: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19168&highlight=make+rheostat is $7, or if you want a good thermostat I hear this one is good and recommended by a lot of members: http://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-MTPRTC-Digital-Thermostat-Heat/dp/B000NZZG3S/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1336184248&sr=8-3.
Probe thermometers are about $7 each. You really only need one for the warm side; as long as the room they are in is warmer then 70 degrees the cool side is a good temp.

wow your so nice
anyway how much do you think a uth, thermostat, and two probe therms would cost

I wasn't trying to be nice anymore, I'm being honest. I don't care about being nice to someone who won't properly take care of their animals and are rude to people trying to help them.

You have the internet.........have you not looked up reptile supplies online to get an idea of the costs? Have you asked how much they would be from the place you got your corn?

You could've Googled it for yourself in a fraction of the time you've taken trying to get us to do it for you.
