Hello everybody!!

drybgerg

Greg
Thought I had already done one of these.

Name is Greg. I got my first corn when I was 12 summer of 1990. Currently I only have 1 corn: Kernel he is a yearling classic. I've always had reptiles of some sort.

I've got my second viv set up and am just waiting on the right corn to catch my eye.

I along with my family own and operate a lawn care company in Southwest Florida.

I enjoy fly fishing, bicycle riding and pretty much anything outdoors.

I'm really thankful for the nice community we have here on cornsnakes.com, everybody is so helpful.

Here's a couple picture of Kernel:

I'll get some better pics tomorrow outside.

I was setting up a light to take some viv pics and Kernel popped out to see what I was doing!!

Welcome to the group.
Kernel is cute. Is he close to shed and a little extra dark or just naturally that dark color?

Forgot to add the obligatory tongue shot!!

Got my second lid finished and have the viv set up and waiting. Not sure what I want to put in there yet?

What a great example of a classic :)
I really like your enclosures. I am so jealous... having a vive ready to go and just WAITING for anything to catch your eye!

If only I could convince my partner to do that... we have everything we need (except another themrostat, which we can easily order). But he doesn't want more than 2 right now :(

If you get another - anything - you'll have to show us.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the compliments.

It's killing me having the viv sitting ready to go. It's even harder knowing Steve Roylance is only the next county up from me and he has all those beautiful snakes wanting a new home!

I have 3 empty vivs right now, one will be for a rescue from a friend's sister this week, but one viv is a 55 gallon that SCREAMS for another big guy!

And as for "convincing" your partner, I have been with Jim almost 20 years and have found that it is easier asking for forgiveness than permission! He is totally easy going though, and puts up with me and my "needs", but I have promised him NO MORE for at least 6 months, and am trying to keep that promise (until this week).

Beautiful snake and set up! Did you use acrylic in the lid? That may help us with retaining heat and humidity during the winter more so than our screen top is doing!

Does help on the humidity and the heat. Thank you. Yes I used acrylic. Here is another one I made:

I've made several tops in the past, but I got the idea for this style from the thread: DIY: Aquarium Tops for Reptiles though I made some changes that made for a much nicer finished product.
