Hello

Just wanted to say hello to everyone and greetings from Alabama. Just recently got into corn snakes after I held a male rootbeer and fell in love with him. Just got a couple of new ones last weekend at the Dixie Reptile Show. A couple of beautiful girls a granite and ghost bloodred. They get to join my beardie, and quite a few Ts. One of these days I will get around to posting some pictures of my corns.

Thanks, Voodoo is an old BBS handle of mine. It just stuck and I've used it for everything since. I have had my beardie for awhile, but my main interest had been tarantulas until I held Faramir (my rootbeer corn). Don't get me wrong, I still love my tarantulas, but there is just something about corn snakes.

I feel like there's something about snakes in general that make you feel a primal urge to be around them. Maybe it's something different, or taboo, but I can't get enough of them! :]

I also have a rosie tarantula that I love. I also feed a brown Texas tarantula that lives under my stairs. :D

I have 18 tarantulas, from the "common" rosie to my female P. metallica. They are just as primal in their hunting and looks as a snake in my opinion. And(at least here) you get more of the "You own what?!?!" Looks with the tarantulas then snakes.

Welcome to the forum. It was good to meet you at the show and we are glad to hear they are doing well.

It was great to meet you also, and they are doing great. Kept the tradition of naming them after Lord of the Rings characters, the granite has been named Galadriel and the ghost bloodred has been named Belladonna.

Names

Funny. Before I moved I had a slew of crested geckos. Since they derive from around NZ - home of the Lord of the Rings movies, the names followed. First, Mary (sic) and Pippin. Then the offspring were Frodo, Sam, Bilbo, etc...
Best of luck on your cornsnake adventure!
