Hello!

New member
Hey! my name is Delano and I'm 13 years old. I received a corn snake from my parents after ages of begging :) . I used to have an okeetee corn when I was younger, but the vivarium I used had a loose lid, and sadly my snake escaped. But this time I have bought a new tank, I have got a new snake and I will be very, very careful not to lose it. Since my old snake escaped 3 years ago, I am relatively new to snakes so this site should be very usefull.

Kids today!

They have such a wealth of info at their fingertips *coughlennycorn*

When I was a kid, there wern't no internet fourms! Computers were for workin' folk, and if we wanted to learn something we had to go to the library, in 5 feet of snow, uphill both ways...

well thats what it felt like, anyway. Welcome to the fourms, learn and post pictures!

LMAO@Your comment.
Your almost young enough to be my son and EVEN I didn't have to do that to research my hobbies that the time!

but hey........welcome to the forums!

haha, ya I know. I'm just being silly, I knew I'd get flack from older members for that!

In my defence, I think we got out first computer in...1989? I remember it being a big thing, but I didn't know how to use it like a resource. I just played wolfinstine and comander keen, and drew some pictures in MS paint (I guess some things don't get obsolete!).

There also seems to be quite a few younger members joining, and I think that's awesome.

ummmm..........I got mine in "89, and I dont' think it's any bigger then the one I have now........LOL........just us old folks need to stick together......and YES I'm very happy to see younger people join, even if I am a newbie myself!

i got my first computer in 1998 as a birthday present. then i got the moniter in 2001 for christmas.

LOL Saulsmom, I forgot about the MAS-DOS puter we got as a handmedown from my bro inlaw.....had i think 3 games the kids could play, and they hated em all!.....GO FIGURE!.....LOL

This was the computer at my Mom's law office. All I could do was to sort her client files, type cover letters, organize her database, and then play a few "BASIC" games. (What was the one with the gorilla throwing the banana called?)

But my friend, who's father was at MIT with my Dad, had 2 computers at homeone with a maze game in DOS and the other was Space Invaders. On the Computer. Right there on his desk. We thought it was so amazing that she had Space Invaders At HOME! Unbelievable!

We were very easily amused.

Donkey Kong!!!

My first computer was a VIC-20! I was in college before I even got an electric typewriter. Heck, I was a teenager before we got our first microwave.

My dad got a Pong game for Christmas the first year they were out. Before that, us kids had to actually *gasp* use our imaginations!

I just love it when these 20-somethings talk about "when I was a kid". :sidestep:
