You should not put even another corn in with your corn.
And this sure ain't no corn!

I would say get to Wal Mart and get an appropriate sized "Critter Keeper" and set this guy up at the other end of your house. That way, if he's sick, he won't infect your corn.

A bright orange / red Ratsnake with two parallel black stripes from the head to the tail. These are stunning and one of the most sought after and hardest to obtain of all the Ratsnakes.

The Red Bamboo ratsnake requires a cooler temperture than other Ratsnake species 68-77 degrees F daytime with a night time drop to 64-72 degrees F. There enclosure should have a moist area and a dry area, the introduction of a tub of damp spagnum moss is benefical, coxi are prone to dehydration and misting the enclosure daily is required. Several small hides are required in both the dry and moist areas. These are snakes for the more experienced keeper ! A beautiful snake and a sound investment for any Ratsnake enthusiast.

Is that an actual picture of the snake he brought home or just one found on the internet. If so thats a Thai Bamboo Ratsnake - Elaphe porphyracea coxi. DEFFINATLEY not a beginners snake, and rather expensive actually. I would take it back to the store as they require more advanced husbandry. Since you live in the UK, and its extremely hard to get a hold of these even when you are looking for them I find it hard to believe thats the actual specimen. What shop did he buy it from?

Put it in with the corn and there will only be one snake left in the tank.

Temporarily house it in a rubbermaid type tub, make sure its moist and it has a hot spot in the low 80's.

i cnat take him back its not mine
its my little bros
wat should i do

If you guys picked up that snake for £50 you just got the bargin of the century! I have seen these sell for £600 each if they are CB. You need to research into these! They are rather different to corns... in every aspect. Google search their latin name which I already provided and you will find some decent caresheets. Do not put it anywhere near your corn!

1. I'm just going to start deleting threads with "wtf", "sh*t" or any other profanity, implied or explicit in the titles. I may start deleting individual posts containing profanity as well.

2. The person who took those photos knew what the snake was, because the species name is in the file name (i.e., coxi). Did your brother really buy this snake, or are you trolling? Better prove to me that you're not. I'm about to start investigating.

I was thinking the same thing Dean. I just refuse to believe an 18 year old's wee brother mysteriously brings back one of the rarest chinese rat snakes for £50 and doesn't know what to do with it.

If he didn't know what kind of snake it was, then how did he find pics of it. And if he found pics of it, how could he not know what it is? I'm in a bad mood today, so if I don't get an explanation SOON, I may just ban this game-playing, chat-speaking, profanity-spewing youngster...

The exposure of these photographs is completely different to that of every other photo you have posted, plus theres no time stamp on these like every other one. So my question is, are these your pictures or not?

Perhaps he though, oh pretty snakie, I'll pretend it's mine.

I was informed of someone who had taken pictures from CS.com of my snakes and posted them on a south African cornsnake forum claiming them to be his... the silly begger didn't even change the photo descriptions or the names of the snakes. It was literally "Here is Panther my coral snow" and "Lucious Lacey". Some people are just extremely stupid.

Of course they're not, and if he doesn't come clean and give a good explanation soon, he's outta here. He's got about five minutes. He's viewing the thread now, so he should see this warning.

Ha well spotted! Ok lets just say his brother did bring back a snake that "looked" similar to coxi, why can't he just post a picture of the actual specimen instead of guessing, taking other peoples pictures and making himself look like an idiot?
