Help, Snake not eating

i could use some help with my sons albino corn snake. he is about 7 years old, we've had him for two years. last spring he didn't eat part of march, april and the beginning of may. i was told on the forum it was cause its breeding season and sometimes males will do that. he did that again this year but he is still not eating. he sits out all day curled up looking out of the cage. when i try to feed him he has no interest and will start shaking his tail at me. is this still normal for him to be doing?

I would say it's normal. As an adult corn snake, he can go quite a long time before refusing food will hurt him.

You can try heating up a much smaller meal than what he would normally get, and make it really hot, and put it with him in a container overnight in a dark, quiet place. Otherwise, I would just try to feed him once a week.

Has anything else changed with your setup?

I did go down to a smaller size. I have never been able to get him to eat if I leave a mouse laying in the cage.

The set up is exactly the same, only change is I got some new reptiles and moved my female snake into the same room as him but they are across the room from each other.

It could be due to warmer temps, or it could be due to the female now in the same room.

Is he losing weight as well?

He doesn't look like he's lost weight. He moves around quiet a bit.

Definitely get a scale for him, one that measures in grams, that way you know what size feeder he should be on, and also to write it down and compare your notes as the time goes by. It is interesting to see how they've grown!

What are the temps, by the way? I know you have them regulated but I am curious as to what they are.

This spring has been NUTS for almost all corn snakes, male and females. I think the Zombie Apocalypse just may be around the corner.

Are you positive he's a male? We've also had a streak of males surprising people with clutches this spring...

^^^^^^^^^True dat! And both of my girls laid slugs which I didn't expect and there was no lay box for them. They were both going crazy, I couldn't figure it out, then Scarlett just laid them in the middle of the viv, I made a quick lay box for Snow but it was too late. She went in, laid 12 tiny slugs and died. She was older, 13, but if i had known I could have helped her.
