Ok camera guys.
I know I know spend the extra...lol
I am new to photography, real new like buying a decent camera and taking a coarse at local community college.
I want advice on what to buy and why, not just higher price equals better but what will I really notice and why and what will be current for my needs for a long while. I have a friend with a Nikon DSLR not sure of model but way out of my range $$$ wise!
So my choices seem to be:
Nikon D40 with DX 18-55mm lens: $500
Nikon D60 with AF-S 18-55 VR lens: $800
Nikon D80 with DX18-70 lens: $1330
I assume all these lenses will be good for family pictures and such but heard I will need a "Macro??" lens for the great snake pics and others???
So what would be the best choice and why? Also need to take into account the cost of the "macro" lens and which would be the best lens choice, most versitile?
