The bleeding sounds like post-mating bleeding, especially if the blood is accompanied by a yellowish sludge (semen). I've had a few of my females do it before, and one does it with just about every mating (even the first), regardless of the male. I guess her cloacal cavity is just thin-skinned.
Here's pics of her and the blood:
Surely you have an Ikea (or similar) store in Iceland, if so go and get a good quality storage tub similar to
Sterilites and you can use that to temporarily house one of the snakes. I typically use 40qt or larger if you can find it. Heck, even a fish tank would suffice with a decent lid made of wood and wire. Or you could try to divide that roomy viv they're in currently to make two living quarters out of it. There are always ways to separate snakes, it just takes initiative.
Keeping them together really isn't advisable, regardless of age for this very reason. If you have a male and female together, you're going to get eggs, which means you're going to have hatchlings you need to do something with eventually. And on an island where reptiles are currently illegal, selling them could be problematic on several levels.
While the male looks ok, the female looks a tad underweight. So if indeed they have been mating, I would feed her more often to try to get her weight up a little.
And seriously, reptiles illegal on an island where it gets cold and snowy a good chunk of the year? By that same token they should ban humans from the island, as they're more invasive and environmentally threatening as any reptile ever thought about being.

And because I'm compelled to...

Ferrets are Illegal in U.S. because in the past they killed our chickens.
Oh really? Nevermind the fact that a ferret species is indeed native to the US. And pet ferrets are not illegal in ALL of the US, only in certain states and municipalities. I've got a pet ferret, I did manage to research on the legalities in my neck of the woods
before I bought him.

I've read that over mating a female can cause bleeding, I'll try and find which books I read that in and link em for you, but I dunno.. I have over 300 snake books hehe O.O Are you sure its 2 ml? 2ml of blood can cover an area of 6 X 6 inches when smeared (thats human blood, not sure on the coagulant factors of snakes blood, I know the white cells are hugely different than mammals, so the coagulants could be too)
Get real, get a life, and find a new forum to attempt to impress people. Yeah I know, it's a poor helpless newbie you have to try to show off for...but c'mon.
Do a search for "blood mating", it comes up with quite a few things. Quite easy if'n you ask me.
