The concrete hide may be too large (tall) for the snake to feel comfortable. I have a small exo-terra hide (it's like 3-4 inches tall) and my 35gram snake never goes in it, she likes kraft dinner boxes (1 inch tall).

OMG!!! I have two (don't ask me why, because I already HATED the first one when I bought the second one!!!) of that rock hide. Snakes love it. But once they get bigger, they can wedge themselves in that EVIL hide and you can NEVER get them out until they consent to come out!!! It has a pretty big lip, so they can really get a grip inside it. And it pinches down in the middle, so they can just go round and round and round in there and you can never get a hold of them. You just have to annoy them enough that they abandon the hide. HORRIBLE!!! I almost sent Inez's with her when she went to her new home, since she adored it, but didn't want to torture her new owner...

Other than that, I'd throw in some greenery. Suction cup vines on the sides, a scrunchy vine along the back wall. Baby snakes love leaves to hide in.

Congrats on getting it all set up. Just wondering, is that dial thermometer we see in the back the way you're checking temps?

Are you excited?
