I just met my 21-year-old son, a couple days ago. He came out to California to visit for a little while, so we went for a walk around the desert, looking for snakes and lizards and such...

My son is here all week, and we're already trying to make plans for a return visit during the summer. It really is surprising how much we have in common, both in terms of hobbies and activities we enjoy, and our personalities. It's gonna be a good week...
 
How nice! I don't have any long lost children or family members, but I can imagine it would be fun to hang out with family who enjoys the same things you do. I think it will be a great week for you!

And for us, if we get to see more of your photos :).

Wow Chris, I had no idea you had a son. Congrats. It looks like you two will have a great week. Its awesome he shares a love of the outdoors just like you. I'm glad you two got to meet and spend time getting to know each other.:)

Chris, that is so neat. Especially the avec camera shot.....I thought that was you, at first.

So has he ever herped before? Or kept a snake? Does he want to now?
