Hi & A Question, Please!!!!

Yes, it's correct but you may find people correcting you cause the actual term is Amelanistic and some people buy their snake as an "Albino" so we try to let you know that it's an Amel, you can call it either though. It would be the same as calling my normal corn a "Classic Corn". People use different names to draw more people to them but personally i like the sounds of Amelanistic better but i think more people know what albino means and that's why it is used, but use what you want, just figured i'd let you know :)

you know something, ever since i got my albino corn... i wondered why it looks nothing like an albino ball, burmese, retic, rat snake, king snake ect.... it bugged the crap out of me!!! i was like why does my albino have red and yellow, when all others have white and yellow... lol now i know!! thanks!!!

 Congrats on the new baby & welcome to the wonderful world of Corns! What a gorgeous little baby ya have there...;) although I could be a bit biased. They are adorable, fascinating little buggers, aren't they. My second baby, Squiggle, is an Amel & he's quite the character. He's always quite visable & very outgoing.
 It's so awesome that you got over your fear of them & are now reaping the benefits. My mom used to be terrified of snakes due to something that happened when she was little. I'm happy to report that she's thankfully gotten past her fears & totally enjoys touching & holding my 3. My home is definately not for the faint-hearted or squeemish! :roflmao:
Enjoy your little fella & he's not spoiled, just well loved! :D

Thanks for the welcome bdsbuddha. Yes, he is very well loved.

I went and got a scale today from Walmart.. it weighs in grams so I know how much my Ares needs to eat.

It's amazing how little snakes can actually weigh! When I got my baby pickeringi (Puget Sound garters) the female was about 8-9" & only weighed 3 grams.

He's already had one shedding since I got him.

It was funny. My son came into my bedroom early one Saturday morning and I was still fast asleep.

He cried out, "Mom, what's this plastic thing in Ares' tank"?

I jumped upright in bed thinking something was wrong.

I looked at his tank and realized he had actually shed. And it was all one piece. LOL

I was fascinated that it even showed his eyes in the skin LOL Just like a proud Mom, I kept it, sealed it up and labeled it.."My baby's first shed". LOL

Just like my human babies when they had their first hair cut etc.
