Hi i just got my first snake

Hi there all well im chris, and yesterday, 9/10/10 i got my first snake.
Ive called him Casper, (not sure the sex, not really bothered lol)
He cam in a Plastic tank with a heater and 4 pinkies.

he has a small log inside, of which he is curled up inside at the mo.

small water dish.

ill need to buy a thermometer, and a thermostat asap.

how do i put up a pic of him??? not sure lol
 
Hello and welcome to the forum. Where did you get your snake? How old is your snake? What morph is your snake?
 
You will have to host the picture somewhere else, like imageshack.us, and then paste the link to the picture either directly into the thread, or into the 'Insert Image' option when you reply to this thread. If you use the 'Insert Image' option, it will appear directly in this thread.
 
I brought him from of gumtree for only £60 was £50 but the guy brought him to me.

And the best news ever, he's already had his first Pinkie at about 12:10pm (GMT)

and he has shed his skin too which was a shock, cause i just werent expecting him to do that lol

so its all good
 
aye i just cannae wait to start holding him.
when the guy brought him over i held him for a bit as the guy showed me how, sounds strange i know, but its my first ever snake/reptile lol

Oh and i measured the skin he shed and its 49-50cm long.
Think he needs to be moved into a bigger plastic tank and when he is old enough he is going into his viv i have for him.

The temp in his tank at the mo is roughly 24-26oC so that seems ok.
the guy said put the heater on the side of the tank as that is what he did, so thats what im doing.
 
Casper

This is my new pics of casper i took today

i have managed to hold him.
it took some time tho but i persevered and i managed it eventually.
i just kept my hand in his tank and just kept petting him and letting him come to me and smell me and get my scent and eventually i picked him up and sat on my bed with him and let him slither through my hands and along my arms and i really enjoyed it and cannae wait top pick him up again.

hmmmm you see i didnt even know what type of breed of corn snake he was, i just knew he was a corn snake, and that he looked FAB!!
and now people have said he's a ghost snake and that i called him casper is super cool!!
lol
 
Welcome Kristy, Casper is a beauty. You are going to have sooo much fun watching him grow, and learning from this forum!! I'm about ready to get my 2nd corn.
