Holy feline!

LMAO! I have one puss-puss who is currently recovering from the trauma of this morning. She's all the kitty I can handle! ;) I'll gladly send her to you, and she can be YOUR puss-puss if you'd like?

And have that godawful meowing waking me up in the middle of the night? I don't think so! Boa tanks can look awfully tempting at 2 in the morning when the cat's being a brat. :grin01:

LMAO! I know all too well exactly what you mean! What is it about middle of the night feline energy bursts??

Magic gets his between 11pm and whenever we go to bed. He's learned the meaning of "bedtime", and when I say it, he races me down the hall to jump into bed. It's so cute! :D Dang lazy cat sleeps all day and then expects us to be up all night to play with him.

Violet wakes me up around 2 am by licking my eyelids. The first time she did it totally freaked me out. She's a strange one!

Awwwwwwwwww! One of my friends cats was never properly weaned. When I slept over at her house one night, I woke up to little Salem nursing on my ear. THAT was interesting!

Aww! Yeah, Violet licks my face and does the paw kneading thing all the time. Is that what it means? They weren't weaned properly? Is Magic declawed? Violet is not, so her kneading is painful. I have scratches all over my back and shoulders from her doing that in the night.

Not the kneading. He was actually SUCKING on my ear! I think the kneading is just a comfort thing. And no, Magic is not declawed. But he's very well behaved with them, for the most part. It's amazing what a squirt bottle when their young will teach them. :D

Wow, that WOULD be creepy!!!

I've used the squirt bottle to persuade her that the snake tanks aren't really all that interesting. ;)

Aw! Big brave Lori and the scaredy puss cat!! I know what you mean about the sounds though. They can sound just terrifying!

Years ago when I was still in Ohio I took my dog out for a walk. When I went past my dad's car there was this horrendous sound coming from underneath it. Sounded like a massive tom cat - but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't see it underneath. So I grabbed some heavy duty work gloves and started feeling up in the wheel wells. Ended up pulling out a kitten that fit in my hand -just a little ball of fluff - but boy was he worked up about something. Hissing and spitting and growling like crazy! Once I got him in the house he started to calm down and ended up being an absolute sweetheart. Wasn't allowed to keep him though so a friend of mine took him in.

And Kiska still does the kneading ( I always call it making muffins) and she does still "nurse" on my clothes all the time. I know she was hand raised and bottle fed so that could have something to do with it for her.

LOL! You heard me shuddering on the phone, D! I didn't do anything with her other than let her have the can of food and block off the opening. I can't have her living in my crawl space and I don't know what kind of health issues she might have, so I'm not bringing her into my domain. This cat has been in the neighborhood for over a year, so she must belong to someone. I have calls out to some neighbors to see if anyone knows where she belongs. If I still see her roaming in the cold, I'm going to take her to a no-kill shelter.
