:sidestep:umm this is kind of an odd question but... how do I post threads/posts or whatever you call them?

If you knew what you called them I could tell you. What you just did is a post. To start a new thread, you look for the "new thread" button, at the top of any forum page. To create a poll (for votes) it is an option at the bottom of the page when you start your thread. Check it, and select the number of options (votes) to allow.

Whoops! Before voting, I didn't look to see if this was an old thread. The zombies raise their ugly heads.

If anyone is still interested. I usually look at most all new threads. Although for the life of me, I can't figure out the DYK, so I just mark it has read and move on. I don't bother with many of the Chit Chat ones either. I don't need anything else to annoy, or upset me, or raise my blood pressure. Work is enough to piss me off.

DYK is worth dropping in on, although it's been super-slow lately. I think a newcomer could easily keep up these days. It's kind of like random chat about people's lives. Sometimes about snakes. Sometimes about work. Sometimes about anything. Eric's description at the beginning pretty much covers it!
