ive got alot of flat sterlite bins 10 20 ans 30 gallons but they are flat aand only like 3 or so inches high is that ok?

If they are only 3 inches tall, I would imagine even a hatchling could eventually slither out of that... but thats just my guess. I probably wouldnt risk it.

well they lock on the sides and i have about 150 binder clips and plan on clipping up the whole bin lol i have a hatchling in a ten gallon 3 inches high for aobut a week or so now and no problems i just wanna know if its cruel to not give the alot of height

6 inches isn't bad. Corns are terrestrial snakes, they don't really *require* height, though many seem to think they're arboreal. Ground space is much more important so as long as the length and width are solid I could see 6in working for subadults.

Many professional breeder tubs are 6" or less in height, including the ones I use. With adequate floor space and a substrate they can burrow in, they should be quite content.

My starter viv is only about 4 inches high. Once they're a year old I move them into an adult viv that's about 3x2 for my Cleo. Going to get the same one again for Edna, she's a year old in October.

Cleo's adult viv is about 2 ft high. Going to find something I can use to add levels to it soon to give her more space.

They are primarily terrestrial , its not.

Several of my corn snakes utilize extra space up top, especially when they're babies. Floor space is MORE important than height, but I wouldn't say that height doesn't matter at all.
