How Was Your Day?

I love Thai food...

So far my day is going great! All patients that required studies involving their butts have either not shown up or been cancelled!!!!!

boy, this thread is tons of fun to read, so I thought I'd get in on the action. I've been waiting for George's little brother to appear, can't wait to see some pictures of the two of you George!
As for my day..so far so good, it's actually sunny and a bit warmer today, the weather here was -33 celcius a couple of days ago. The dog has been sad because I wouldn't take her for a long walk in that kind of cold. We just booked our trip to Florida yesterday, we leave at the end of April. The boss is away today, so we're going to have a scrabble tournament here shortly, and all planning to take off early today.
My daughter is away at University, and I haven't seen her since Christmas, but on Tuesday my and hubby and my 8 year old are all going to drive up and see her, and spend the day there. I'm really looking forward to that!

Let me see. I got out of work at 5am. An hour early to start the weekend YAY! I met a few people from work in a different department at 8 for a couple of drinks. Picked up my daughters at 10:30 so they could have my car after school. And now I'm looking forward to a couple hours sleep then doing some banking. Sounds exciting doesn't it. NOT!.....No baby yet George?

Man, I love skiing.

How is Aspen?
Not to flaky and dusty I hope- skiing on woodchips would make ME sneeze. :grin01:

It's awesome! We just got 4 or so inches of fresh powder yesterday, so we were going down the highlands bowl in a total of 9 inches of powder!

The town has enough snow to keep that dusty, salty ground from showing.

Last night we cross country skied to a little restaurant in the mountains. It was a good 45 minute ski, but gave us a good apatite for an amazing elk tenderloin. The way back was great and almost all downhill. It was little crazy, considering my aunts boyfriend had only cross country skied once, and I hadn't in 2 years.

We're taking a while to get out the door today, but everything's great here.

This morning i woke up really upset because i dreamt that my Nana died. My boyfriend can attest to this because he asked me what was wrong, and then comforted me by telling me it was just a dream. But no joke, two hours later i got the news. :(

I feel really awful, but it comforts me a little that it happened that way, because she was the kind of lady that believed in that kind of thing?

She also was developing Alzheimer's, so the Nana I knew was mostly gone anyways, but it still sucks because she was a wonderful lady.

I guess I should just be glad I had a very grandparent-filled childhood, but I'm still upset.

sigh.

Ohh, I'm so sorry. Thats got to be scary, about the dream. Its good you had a good childhood with her.

Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your Nana. It's nice you were able to spend your childhood with her and that you will always have those memories to comfort you!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I was really close with her, and I was really upset all this morning.

She once said (before her mind started going) that she had the best life she could ask for and that she'd done all she wanted to do, and that if she know she would die tomorrow, she'd still be happy. So that makes me feel a little better.

I'm still going to miss her though, She did such a good job of raising my dad and his brothers and sisters, and her and my grandfather are the reason our family is so close.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
My day was pretty good though. Got up at 7, fed the horses and then myself. Cleaned stalls and the pasture then rode both horses. Nobody tried to kill me :) Cut the rubber mats to put in the stalls and then got cleaned up as our friend was coming by to visit. Had a nice dinner with her! Relaxed in a nice tub...ahhhhhh....oh, and sprayed all the green tree pythons and checked everyone over....

I lost my mom in November. My daughters and niece were EXTREMELY close to her. My daughters are 16, my niece is 18. It was very hard on them but they have gotten thru it and we are able to talk about her now without too many tears anymore.

Todays been fine i just got a new piece of scenery for my snake (hope he enjoys it... its sort of like his late christmas preasent :santa: :santa: )
Then latr i have to feed him a fuzzie.
Then ill watch tv maybe play a little footie then go to bed.
Not a bad day overall. :crazy02:

Yesterday was good. I cleaned a little and then went car shopping with my dad. No not for my car...yet. ;) My dad got a very nice, gold Toyota Avalon. Its sweet. Then we had a small birthday party for my parents friends.

Today, I got up and changed the clocks. Went to church. Now I am going to cut some of the grass and hang out here.

well, i thought since i made this thread i should catch up a little :grin01:

thursday -

went downstairs to watch the tv with mum and her bf and then her watersbroke - i accused her of peeing herself then i realised they had actually gone lol, so we went to hospital and then the nurse said she was going to keep her in and only one person could stay, so obviasly her bf was because he was the babys dad "a good one at that" and i went to my sisters for a few days!

Friday - was chilling at sisters and got a phonecall of mum saying she still hasent had him but she was going to be put on a drip to set her off abit more, then about 3pm i got a phone call saying she had it : P and he was crying "george i love you down the phone :grin01:" and then i stayed at my sisters one more day :p

saturday - Come home and met little james, and people just kept coming and coming lol,

ummm, its been great, hes such a little gem :p although none of the baby cards and presents had my name on it :p i think people forget i had to put up with that hormonal mummy for 10 months aswell as her bf lol :p

Congats on your new little brother George. You know that all the pressure is on you now to set a good example for him ! :grin01: I'm sure you'll be the best big brother a kids could have. Congrats again!!
