Well, as some of you already know me. And some of you got to know me this past weekend, due to the Daytona Rep show. I'm Sonnie, I'm from Tennessee, I also run Easttnherps.com which is a forum, and also a base for my Herp Society. I am a single mom, to a 16 month old little girl, who is my complete world. I hope she has the same love I have for animals in general and help me continue my goal to educate the public.

I'm 24, I go to school full time and my current degree I'm seeking is in the range of an Art Degree and my RN nursing degree. I'm also going to re-attend after I graduate to possibly further my education either in biology or get my Masters for nursing. I really enjoy going to school, which shocked me, because Grade school was hard due to the mistreatment and the way "children" can be.

I started my Herp Society, because I could no longer stand to see people killing snakes, swerving to hit them, and not being able to identify the "copperhead" in their yard. I wanted children to learn at a young age that there is no reason to be afraid, but yet respect the animals they share their life with. I hope to continue my goal of educating, adults, seniors, and children a like when it comes to our herp friends who we strive to learn about and keep.

As far as my collection goes, I have over 100 animals, a large selection of different types of snakes, corns, bloods, balls, rats, old world rats, hognoses, african houses, milks, kings, womas, boas etc.

I also keep a wide arrange of geckos from cresteds, viper tails, velvet tails, white spotted, spread toe, leopards, gargoyles, etc. :-offtopic

I also keep a wide arrange of amphibians including cane toads, pixie frogs, pacmans, peacock, reeds, cubans, florida leopards, tiger sallies, fire sallies, halloween newts, paddle tail newts, marbleds, etc.

And a different arrangement of inverts such as tarantulas and scorpions.

And last but not least my skinks such as blue tongues and fire skinks.

I hope to get to know you all, and had a blast with the ones I have had the pleasure of meeting!!!

if you want to check out my myspace... it's....

I'm also on face book, but I have no idea about it yet, as I haven't had it long.

So Hi :)

-Sonnie

Welcome aboard!!! Glad to have you here with us.

I checked out your MySpace animals! WOW!!! I love the gargoyle gecko, the OBT, and the other gecko (with black squares/rectangles on its back) as well as all your snakes (Is that an LTR?? I've got one too). You've got TONS of animals that I want... but I'm limited by my wife! LOL.

Anyway, enjoy your time with us!

Hey Sonnie welcome to our forum!
I really like the message/reason you opened your forum for, it really means alot to me. :D

Thats awesome that you are doing that with yr forum. Thanks for joining this forum you are more then welcome to stay. That sure is a lot of animals you have. And I'm sure yr daughter will have the same love as you for animals in general. I don't have any kids of my own and I am almost 29 yrs old. So my corn snakes Diamond, Zoe and Bindi and the one that has just escaped this past Tuesday Rose are like my children in a sense. They mean the world to me. If you have any questions feel free to ask on here and share some pictures up on here as well. I would love to see some of them.

I hope Dean downloads the video he took of you. Sonnie didn't mention her absolutely AMAZING, unique talent. You'll be stunned, trust me. I was sitting right next to her and I still couldn't believe it!!!

Welcome Sonnie! I'm so envious of you being able to meet many of the members this past weekend. I'm sure you'll have a great time here. Can't wait to see pics of your babies.

It was great meeting you, Sonnie! If I can figure out how to post one or two of the vids I took, I'll do it this weekend. Amazing stuff!

Next time, you'll have to bring a cane toad, LOL (that's ALL I would have needed). ;)

Holy cow, Truely I moved to Farragut in the middle of my senior year of high school and a locker bomb went off the same day I started going to that school. I wonder if that was the incident. 90-91 was the year....
